Maria-Esther is a Black Cuban woman and a Santería practitioner on the verge of emigrating to Brazil due to the economic crisis gripping her country. In the final days before her departure—uncertain about her future and facing her sister's religious intolerance—she decides to turn to Oxum to reveal her destiny.
